Während man sich bislang jährlich auf zwei Award Verleihungen auf US-amerikanischem Boden freuen durfte, die VGA’s und die VGX’s, gab es dieses Jahr nur eine Verleihung.
In Las Vegas, Nevada wurden die TGA’s verliehen. Nebst den Preisverleihungen wurde auch mit vielen Trailer-Enthüllungen gelockt, trotz der zeitlichen Nähe zu den Sony PlayStation Awards und des PlayStation Experience Events.
